San Luis, Peten Guatemala (2010)
Amistad (Friendship) is a game I designed while living in Guatemala and observing the various cultures in the San Luis community. I saw children making checker game boards out of found objects and it inspired me to to create a xerox game that appropriated similar rules of checkers and included a third person.

In addition to introducing this game to primary school children I taught art class to residence of Dulce Refugio, a home for elderly individuals who did not have family, or their families did not have the means to take care of them.
